The Summer Volunteer program runs from the end of May to the beginning of August. All applications must be submitted during the month of March to be considered for the following summer. Make sure you are submitting the application between March 1 and March 31. You will be contacted in April for a possible interview. Submitting an application or attending an interview does not guarantee acceptance to the program.
Application requirements
Before you submit the application, please read the requirements. Applications for this program are accepted only during the month of March.
- Students must be 16 years old by May 1
- You must provide your social security number for background check purposes
- You must agree to an in-person interview, a background check, drug and TB screening, and provide proof of required immunizations
- Must be able to speak, write, and read English. ESL is acceptable and welcomed
- You must attend one of the two orientations offered. You will be given the exact dates if you are chosen for an interview.
- Orientation must be in-person. We do not offer video or streaming orientation.
- You will be given the exact dates of the summer program if you are chosen for an interview.
