Steven Edgar, FACHE PT
Chief Executive Officer
In 2016, Steven Edgar joined Medical City Denton from Wesley Woodlawn Hospital, a 99-bed acute care hospital in Wichita, Kansas, where he served as CEO for four years. During his tenure at Wesley Woodlawn he achieved outstanding patient satisfaction and employee engagement, and expanded service lines including ER, cardiology, and surgical services.
Prior to Wesley Woodlawn, Edgar served as Chief Operating Officer and Associate Administrator of the 760-bed Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, leading volume growth strategies, physician relations and recruitment, staffing, capital construction, and ancillary patient care departments.
Edgar holds a bachelor's degree in health science-physical therapy from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and a Master of Public Administration - health administration, from University of Missouri, Kansas City. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Cole Kendrick
Chief Operating Officer
Cole Kendrick joined Medical City Denton as Chief Operating Officer in May 2024. Prior to that, he served as the assistant chief operating officer for HCA Healthcare’s Methodist Hospital | Metropolitan since November 2023, where he has provided executive oversight to business development, facilities management and security. He previously served as vice president of operations at Methodist Hospital | Northeast.
Cole earned a Master of Healthcare Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Texas A&M University. He recently graduated from the HCA Healthcare Executive Development Program.
Jenny Earls
Chief Nursing Officer
In her role as chief nursing officer, Jenny Earls is responsible for patient care, nursing practice, patient experience, throughput and operations for nurses and clinicians.
She has been with Medical City Healthcare since 2012, most recently as assistant chief nursing officer at Medical City McKinney. She earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice in executive leadership specialization from the American Sentinel College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Post University, a Master of Science in nursing from Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Central Oklahoma. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Executive Advanced (NEA-BC), Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AG-ACNP-BC) and Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN).
Glenn Hardesty
Chief Medical Officer
Glenn Hardesty, DO, was named chief medical officer at Medical City Denton in August 2024.
In this role, Dr. Hardesty is responsible for clinical direction for physicians and clinicians, quality, patient safety, risk management, infection prevention and medical staff services.
Prior to this role, he served as assistant CMO for Medical City Dallas, Medical City Children’s Hospital, Medical City Women’s Hospital, Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital, starting in 2023. He has previous experience as a healthcare system medical director for medical staff affairs, CMO and as an attending physician.
Dr. Hardesty earned his medical degree from the University of North Texas Health Science Center after earning a Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Texas A&M University. He is board-certified in emergency medicine and is a certified physician executive with the American Academy of Physician Leadership.
