Special diet information

Gluten free diet

Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and numerous other foods containing these ingredients. This diet is recommended for people with a gluten intolerance or celiac disease. For individuals that have a gluten sensitivity, consuming gluten containing foods can damage the lining in the small intestine. Avoiding foods with gluten will often allow the intestines to heal. Symptoms of gluten intolerance include: cramping, bloating, gas, diarrhea, fatigue, and weight loss.

Foods to avoid:

  • Wheat (all types, including einkorn, emmer, spelt, and kamut), Barley, Rye, Malt and Oats (unless gluten free)
