The pediatric scoliosis and spine program at Medical City Children's Hospital uses advanced technology to detect and treat scoliosis as soon as possible. In fact, we're one of only a few U.S. hospitals offering spinal reconstructive surgery and revision surgery.
Patients of all ages are treated at Medical City Spine Hospital and Medical City Children’s Hospital. Treating children and adults in one hospital allows us to provide continuing support as patients grow, so you can receive lifelong treatment without interruption.
Scoliosis treatment
Early detection is key to treating scoliosis before it progresses, but sometimes, the signs of scoliosis aren't visible. Your child may need a screening to diagnose the condition.
Following a diagnosis, your pediatric doctor can help you understand what treatment options are best for your child. Noninvasive scoliosis care, such as a brace, may be all that's needed. If the condition is severe or advanced, it may require pediatric surgery.
Scoliosis surgery
If surgery is needed, a group of experienced medical professionals will work together to provide the best results possible. Your team will include:

Children are admitted to the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU) after surgery. There, they receive care from a dedicated team of nurses.
