Krysla Karlix
Chief Executive Officer of Medical City Green Oaks Hospital
Krysla Karlix serves as CEO of Medical City Green Oaks and Medical City Mental Health & Wellness Center Frisco. In this dual role, Karlix is responsible for all inpatient and outpatient operations related to the hospitals along with 24-hour psychiatric crisis stabilization services and telepsychiatry services across the Medical City Healthcare system of care.
A leader and administrator in North Texas mental healthcare for over two decades, Karlix has provided oversight of growth projects, including expansion of the ECT suite, integrating telehealth into all outpatient services and extending telepsychiatry services across all Medical City Healthcare hospitals. In 2024 Medical City Green Oaks received Press Ganey’s Human Pinnacle of Excellence Award which recognizes top-performing hospitals nationwide for committing to the highest standards in patient experience.
Karlix is an active volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI)) and was the recipient of Mental Health America of Greater Dallas “Pamela Blumenthal Memorial” Prism Award in 2025. She earned a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University.
Russell Reed, MSN
Chief Nursing Officer of Medical City Green Oaks Hospital
Russell Reed, RN, was named chief nursing officer at Medical City Green Oaks in May 2017. In this role, Reed provides leadership and oversight of seven individual nursing units, comprising the 124-bed behavioral health hospital and a 24-hour psychiatric crisis stabilization unit serving Dallas and surrounding counties.
A psychiatric nurse and mental health professional, Reed has more than three decades of behavioral healthcare experience in North Texas. He joined Medical City Green Oaks in 2010 where he quickly advanced in leadership roles. During his tenure, Reed oversaw units continuously scoring in the top decile of Press Ganey in patient satisfaction and in the top decile within HCA Healthcare for employee engagement. Reed began his career as a mental health technician at the Terrell State Hospital.
Reed was named to "The Great 100 Nurses" list for Dallas – Fort Worth in 2020. He earned a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Walden University.
