Mental health care in Dallas

Serving adults and adolescents, Medical City Green Oaks Hospital is deeply rooted to helping our patients and their families, and is committed to the mission of providing a full continuum of exceptional psychiatric services in North Texas. In early 2018, we developed a clinical diagnostic service for immediate access to psychiatric care. You can walk in day or night, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and be seen in person by a specially trained psychiatrist, along with psychiatric nurses and therapists. We understand that if you are suffering from a behavioral health episode, you want to go to a safe environment for immediate care. We offer a comfortable atmosphere to help address your crisis for any mental health condition or substance use disorder, focusing on specific needs. We are committed to the best, most effective clinical practices; whether ours or someone else’s design.

Message from the CEO

In 1983, the late Robert Wright founded this hospital with a vision to help as many people as possible who suffered from mental illness. The mission at Medical City Green Oaks has not wavered. Every day, our dedicated experts provide vitally needed, accessible mental health services and care for our patients like family. Over the last 4 decades, Medical City Green Oaks has grown to a 124-bed inpatient psychiatric facility for ages 12 and up, offering specialty services including ECT in addition to a full continuum of outpatient services with clinic locations in both Dallas and Plano.

As part of Medical City Healthcare and HCA Healthcare, Medical City Green Oaks has access to vast resources that enable us to continue expanding and improving services based on the unique needs of our community. This includes adding innovative therapies such as TMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation) for treatment-resistant depression, telepsychiatry and expansion into research and clinical trials to remain the leader in innovative psychiatric care.

I would like to thank all of the Medical City Green Oaks colleagues and physicians for their dedication to our mission to care for and improve human life. The exceptional care that they provide creates healthier tomorrows for the patients that we are honored to serve. We are proud of our legacy of the last 40 years and look forward to decades more of service and advocacy. I believe our founder, Mr. Wright, would be proud.
