Jay deVenny, FACHE
Chief Executive Officer
Jay deVenny was named chief executive officer of Medical City Dallas in April 2024. He also leads Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital, departments of Medical City Dallas. He previously served as CEO of Medical City Children’s Hospital and Medical City Women’s Hospital Dallas and was as chief development officer and vice president of business development at Medical City Dallas.
Prior to joining Medical City Healthcare, deVenny held several roles in administrative and business development within the North Texas healthcare industry.
deVenny holds a Master of Business Administration in Health Services Management from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Studies from the University of Kansas and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He serves as a board member for Camp iHope and the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce.
Skyler Reed, FACHE
Chief Executive Officer, Medical City Children's Hospital and Medical City Women's Hospital Dallas
Skyler Reed was named CEO of Medical City Children's Hospital and Medical City Women's Hospital Dallas in June 2024.
In this role, Reed leads the hospitals’ strategic planning, business development, physician and colleague engagement and programs to advance patient experience and clinical quality.
Reed previously served as chief operating officer of Medical City Dallas, where he oversaw multiple services, led capital expansion and project development, and supported strategic planning with a focus on advancing patient care and improving patient and physician satisfaction. Prior to that role, he served as COO and facility ethics and compliance officer at Medical City Arlington and has held progressive leadership roles with HCA Healthcare since 2012, including Austin-based St. David’s Healthcare, a partnership with HCA Healthcare.
Reed is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He earned a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Auburn University.
Tabitha South, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CCFP
Chief Nursing Executive, Medical City Children's Hospital and Medical City Women's Hospital Dallas
Tabitha South, DNP, RN, NE-BC, CCFP, serves as chief nursing executive (CNE) of Medical City Dallas. She brings decades of progressive nursing leadership experience, including executive roles across Medical City Healthcare.
Dr. South previously served as chief nursing officer and vice president of nursing for Medical City Children's Hospital and Medical City Women's Hospital Dallas. She also served as assistant chief nursing officer and vice president of adult patient services at Medical City Dallas. Throughout her career, she has focused on strengthening colleague and registered nurse (RN) engagement, advancing professional nursing practice, fostering physician partnerships and enhancing patient-centered care.
Dr. South earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Science in Nursing Administration and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She is a DFW Great 100 Nurse and recipient of the D Magazine Nurse Excellence Award.
Dillon Rai
Chief Operating Officer
Dillon Rai was named chief operating officer (COO) at Medical City Dallas in July 2024.
As COO, Rai provides leadership and direct administrative oversight of strategic planning for business development and project management resulting in service line growth, improvements in patient outcomes and advanced patient and physician satisfaction.
Rai began his healthcare leadership career with HCA Healthcare in 2018. He previously served as COO of Medical City Arlington and Medical City Women’s Hospital Arlington and as associate chief operating officer and vice president of operations at HCA Healthcare’s Swedish Medical Center in Denver.
Rai earned a Master of Health Care Administration from Trinity University and a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Maryland.
Chase Redden
Chief Financial Officer
Chase Redden, CPA, joined Medical City Dallas as chief financial officer (CFO) in January 2025.
In this role, Redden oversees finance and accounting functions for Medical City Dallas, Medical City Children's Hospital, Medical City Women's Hospital Dallas, Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital.
Redden previously served as CFO at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake and Mainland for the three years. He began his HCA Healthcare career in March 2014 and served in progressive hospital leadership roles, including assistant vice president of finance and CFO for three facilities.
Chase earned a Master of Professional Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Murray State University in Murray, Ky.
Brandon Prunty, RN
Chief Development Officer
Brandon Prunty, RN, serves as chief development officer (CDO) for Medical City Dallas, since January 2025.
As CDO, Prunty is responsible for overall business development and strategy for all campuses.
Prior to this role, Prunty was vice president of operations for Medical City Fort Worth since June 2023. He began his HCA Healthcare career as a patient care technician at Medical City Fort Worth in October 2008. He served in progressive leadership roles within the hospital, including vice president of business development, administrative director of orthopedics, bariatrics and spine, and director of advanced clinicals.
Prunty earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Tyler and a Bachelor of Science and Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Mary Beth Short
Vice President of Human Resources
Mary Beth Short was named Vice President of Human Resources at Medical City Dallas, Medical City Children’s Hospital, Medical City Women’s Hospital Dallas, Medical City Heart Hospital and Medical City Spine Hospital in July 2021. She brings more than 20 years of human resources experience, including more than 16 years in healthcare human resources to her position.
Short previously served as Vice President of Human Resources at Medical City Arlington, Medical City Alliance and Medical City North Hills. Prior to joining Medical City Healthcare, Mary Beth held human resources leadership positions at Medsynergies, Texas Health and Baylor Health Care System.
Short is a Navy veteran. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Studies, Human Resources Management from New Hampshire College and a Master of Business Administration from Texas Woman’s University.

The Board of Trustees of Medical City Dallas furthers the mission of the hospital by ensuring high-quality patient care in coordination with hospital leadership, advising on community needs and advocating on behalf of the hospital. Trustees represent key corporate, philanthropic and physician leaders from the Dallas community.
