Weight loss surgery options
We offer different types of bariatric procedures, and we are ready to consult with you about which is right for you.
- Gastric band surgery — One of the most popular weight loss surgery options, gastric band surgery is minimally invasive and reversible. During the procedure, the surgeon places a small band around the stomach to reduce its size. A variation of this, adjustable gastric band surgery, provides more options for treatment.
- Gastric bypass surgery — This procedure decreases the size of the stomach and bypasses part of the small intestine, reducing the amount of food the stomach can hold and the calories that can be absorbed by the body.
- Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery — In this procedure, the stomach is reduced to about the size of an egg, and the small intestine is reconnected to the new, smaller stomach.
- Revision surgery — Revisional bariatric surgery is an option if you had a prior bariatric procedure. The goal of a revisional procedure is to repair, restore or improve the effectiveness of the original surgery.
