Designation linked to better engagement and outcomes.

September 05, 2025

Weatherford — Medical City Weatherford has earned its first Pathway to Excellence® designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), recognizing the hospital as one of the best places for nurses to work and grow professionally.

The Pathway to Excellence designation is a global distinction that requires a rigorous review of nursing leadership, shared decision-making, safety and professional development. Hospitals that achieve this honor demonstrate a culture where nurses feel supported, valued and empowered to provide exceptional care.

“This honor highlights our nurses’ commitment to exceptional patient care and a supportive work environment,” says Amy Jackson, chief nursing officer at Medical City Weatherford. “This achievement reflects our team’s dedication to compassionate care like family and advancing the future of nursing.”

According to ANCC, Pathway-designated hospitals experience higher nurse engagement, improved retention, and better patient outcomes.
