Medical City Weatherford earns another 'A' for patient safety
Weatherford, Texas — Medical City Weatherford has earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade for the second time this year from The Leapfrog Group, reaffirming the hospital’s dedication to delivering safe, high-quality care to patients in Parker County and surrounding communities.
“This repeat recognition is a direct result of our team’s focus on patient safety,” says Allen Marsh, CEO of Medical City Weatherford. “We are honored that our hospital has received top Hospital Safety Grade ratings each of the last four years, validating our efforts to create a safe environment and an excellent system of care for our patients and their families.”
Leapfrog assigns letter grades “A” through “F” each spring and fall to general hospitals across the country based on measures of patient safety that focus exclusively on errors, accidents, injuries and infections as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.
“Earning an ‘A’ Grade means Medical City Weatherford made a true commitment to put patient safety first,” says Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We congratulate the leadership, board, clinicians, staff and volunteers who all had a role to play in this achievement.”
