$100,000 Donation to Support Maternal, Infant Health
Dallas, Texas — Medical City Healthcare and its colleagues raised more than $100,000 for the March of Dimes. This remarkable contribution, enhanced by HCA Healthcare’s impactful Matching Gift program, will help fund research, education, advocacy and programs aimed at improving maternal and infant health outcomes across North Texas and beyond.
“This significant donation, made possible by the unwavering generosity and passionate advocacy of our Medical City Healthcare colleagues, demonstrates Medical City Healthcare’s unparalleled support for the health and well-being of moms and babies in our communities,” says Allen Harrison, president of Medical City Healthcare. “We are committed to investing in our community and honored to help advance healthcare through a March of Dimes partnership to champion initiatives that address the most pressing challenges in maternal and infant health.”
This year’s partnership with March of Dimes 2025 March for Babies walks reflects a shared mission to support healthy moms and strong babies. Dozens of colleagues walked in both the Dallas and Tarrant County March for Babies walks. In 2024, Medical City Healthcare delivered more than 21,000 babies across its comprehensive North Texas system of care. Of those, over 6,500 newborns required a higher level of care and admission to one of Medical City Healthcare’s nine neonatal intensive care units (NICUs) — a testament to the vital need for continued advancements in maternal-fetal medicine and neonatal care.
According to the March of Dimes, the United States continues to face a maternal and infant health crisis and is the most dangerous high-income nation for childbirth. Support from healthcare partners like Medical City Healthcare plays a crucial role in funding innovative programs and lifesaving research to improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
“March of Dimes extends heartfelt gratitude to every Medical City Healthcare colleague, physician, volunteer and supporter whose efforts helped make this year’s campaign a success,” says Beth Knott, March of Dimes Executive Director, DFW Market Impact. “Together, we are advancing a future where every baby has the best possible start and every mother receives the care she deserves.”
