Medical City Healthcare honored for psychiatry, behavioral health programs
Dallas, Texas — Medical City Healthcare has been named by Becker’s Hospital Review to its prestigious list of hospitals and health systems with great psychiatry and behavioral health programs.
“This national recognition, awarded to Medical City Healthcare for the second year in a row, celebrates the high-quality care that our compassionate team of behavioral health professionals provides across our system of care,” says Medical City Healthcare President Allen Harrison. “On behalf of our communities, we extend our appreciation to all of these dedicated colleagues for their commitment to our patients and to excellence always.”
Medical City Healthcare offers extensive mental health and wellness programs through inpatient and outpatient locations in Dallas, Decatur, Frisco, McKinney and Fort Worth. The health system takes an integrated approach to treating mental health issues through an interdisciplinary team coordinating individualized treatment plans. Additionally, when mental health patients also need acute medical care, the ease of transferring between Medical City Healthcare’s 22 locations and coordinating health information makes receiving care as seamless as possible.
In August, Medical City Mental Health & Wellness Center Alliance, which celebrated its opening in January, will begin offering inpatient and outpatient services for adolescents. The north Fort Worth hospital joins sister facilities Medical City Mental Health & Wellness Center Frisco and Medical City Green Oaks in offering care specifically tailored for adolescents. Other Medical City Healthcare facilities providing behavioral health services in North Texas include Medical City McKinney and Medical City Decatur.
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team accepted nominations and conducted editorial research to compile its list of national healthcare leaders.
“The hospitals and health systems featured on this list are recognized for their unwavering commitment to improving mental and behavioral health,” Becker’s Hospital Review stated in releasing the list. “Through thoughtfully designed programs and services, they aim to enhance quality of life and provide comprehensive support for patients’ emotional and psychiatric wellbeing.”
