Amanda Holland
Amanda Holland says keeping her weight at a healthy level was always difficult, but weight-loss surgery was never a consideration.
That changed in 2019, when her husband, Mackenzie, had bariatric surgery and lost more than 250 pounds.
“After my husband’s success story and seeing the drastic improvement to his appearance and health, I made the decision in 2020 to have surgery. However, the COVID-19 pandemic put that on hold. Luckily, I was able to have surgery earlier this year,” Amanda says.
The COVID-19 pandemic delayed Amanda’s weight-loss surgery to 2021, but she has lost more than 160 pounds and recommends the Bariatric & Metabolic Institute at Medical City Fort Worth.
"I am so thankful for the care that I received at Medical City Fort Worth and Dr. (Michael) Green," Amanda says.
Her husband agrees.
"The care that we both received was outstanding. The comprehensive weight-loss surgery program at Medical City Fort Worth has allowed us both to not only lose the weight, but keep it off," says Mackenzie.
