Summer S. Meinhardt, MD

Dr. Summer Sanford Meinhardt is a Board-Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist. She graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, Texas with a B.S. in Biology before attending medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She then completed OB/GYN residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas where she was trained to care for a wide array of obstetric and gynecologic pathologies at high-volume hospitals, Parkland Memorial Hospital and Clements University H

She is a firm believer in making patient-centered, medical decisions and is focused on treatment plans that best accommodate patients' concerns and lifestyle needs. She provides comprehensive healthcare to women in all stages of life, from adolescence to post-menopause. Her practice focuses on wellness, the menopausal transition, hormone replacement therapy, urinary incontinence, contraception, adolescent medicine, abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroids, sexual health, pelvic pain, cervical dysplasia, and normal to high risk obstetrical care. Dr. Meinhardt is trained in the latest surgical technology including the da Vinci Surgical System as well as in other minimally invasive surgical techniques including laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and vaginal approaches. In her spare time, Dr. Meinhardt enjoys time with her family, wood-working, running, and travel.
