Weatherford, Texas — Medical City Weatherford continued a longtime Peach Festival tradition this year, serving its crowd-favorite “Original Peach Julep” at the 41st Annual Parker County Peach Festival and raising $4,800 to benefit the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund.
Since 1984, the Parker County Peach Festival has been a favorite community tradition celebrating the area's peach harvest with local vendors, entertainment and family-friendly activities. Medical City Weatherford once again joined the annual event, serving approximately 1,000 cups of its signature “Original Peach Julep” to festivalgoers throughout the day.
“Our participation in the Parker County Peach Festival reflects our commitment to the community we serve,” says Allen Marsh, CEO of Medical City Weatherford. “Each year, this event gives us the opportunity to connect with our neighbors, support an important cause and demonstrate our commitment to caring for the community both inside and outside our hospital's walls. We're grateful to everyone who stopped by and helped make this year's fundraiser a success.”
Proceeds from the sales will benefit the HCA Healthcare Hope Fund, a 501(c)(3) charity that provides emergency financial assistance to HCA Healthcare colleagues experiencing hardship due to illness, injury, natural disasters and other unexpected events affecting their essential needs.
