Roberto de la Cruz, MD named chief medical officer
Fort Worth, Texas — Medical City Fort Worth has named Roberto de la Cruz, MD, FACP, as chief medical officer (CMO). He will be serving in the same role at Medical City Weatherford.
As CMO, Dr. de la Cruz oversees clinical direction to physicians and clinicians, quality, patient safety, risk management, infection prevention and medical staff services.
Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. de la Cruz joins Medical City Fort Worth and Medical City Weatherford with decades in North Texas medicine and leadership positions with a focus on clinical operations, quality improvement and physician engagement. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief clinical officer at Parkland Health.

Dr. de la Cruz earned a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a fellow with the American College of Physicians, a board member for the Association of American Medical Colleges and formerly served on the DFW Hospital Council board.
